The Andalusian Trail  

Through story and song, The Andalusian Trail celebrates the diversity of cultures that came to settle medieval Andalusia (southern Spain) - from India, North Africa, and the Middle East - the coexistence of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and the rich exchange of musical ideas, instruments, and culture.  Members of the group, Surabhi Ensemble (5 musicians, 2 dancers), will perform, including original and traditional repertoire with Spanish guitar, oud and harmonium, various other Indo-European instruments, as well as Rajasthani folk dance, flamenco, and Mid-Eastern dance.
